What are Sialon Thermocouple Protection Tubes?

Syalon protection tubes made from a unique blend of silicon nitride and aluminum oxide, referred to as Si3N4, silicon nitride, or Syalon. They are designed to protect temperature sensors within harsh industrial environments.

How Do They Work?

The tubes work by encasing and protecting thermocouples, which are sensitive temperature-measuring devices. Their low thermal expansion coefficient ensures that temperature measurements remain accurate, despite exposure to extreme temperatures, chemicals, and physical abrasion.

Syalon 110 ("The Heat Resistant"): Known for high-temperature performance and corrosion resistance, it is ideal for extreme temperatures and heavy loads, withstanding continuous operation at 1450°C and peak loads up to 1600°C.
